The Brief 

Design a poster for a lecture series. Be sure to intrigue the intended audience on a visual level, as well as inform them of the general content of the lecture.

Overview

My specific lecture series was a lecture series intended for children, so my audience was both the parents and the kids themselves. So with my poster, I created a feeling of childlike playfulness, but also wanted to maintain a sophisticated feeling, as the institution holding this lecture series, Pittsburgh Arts and Lectures, is well-respected, and something recognizable by parents.
